Just returned from Costco and they have Cryo packed USDA Prime brisket for 2.99 a pound and butts for 1.99 a pound. Seemed like good prices. At least I hope so since I bought a brisket and a 2 pack of butts. Now I just have to decide which I will try first.

Try a butt for a warm up.
If you can tell the left from the right cheek, Try the right to, well, get it right.
Until I found SMF, I didn't know pigs had two butts.
One by my Hammies, and another up in Boston.
Butt, if it's piggy, it's delicious!

Are the briskets full packer? How much of a fat cap on them?

They are full packers. Never bought a brisket before so I don't have much reference on the fat cap. They have a lot of fat compared to any other cut of beef I am familiar with.

Great finds! I've seen a few people post about the brisket prices at Costco the last couple of days...makes me want to do a Costco run.

I smoked a couple of the Costco prime briskets over the summer. Great piece of meat at very reasonable price and the final product turns out great.
