I just checked the ad again . Now they show the Cattleman's flat cut for $5.49 , the point cut for $3.49 , and the one I bought Aldi's premium flat cut for $4.99 .
Think I might go take another look .

My U.S. Foods Chef'Store has whole corned packers for $4.99 lb. If you're planning on a big meal, you might want to check out a local restaurant supply store like this.

I've bought meat and sausage from there before. It is good quality. Just haven't had this brand of corned beef. The packs of corned beef I bought yesterday looks good.

Generally I don't buy much meat from there mostly because selection is limited. They have Smithfield pork products which I avoid for personal reasons. But I will get the deals such as the corned beef.

I do buy vegetables, potatoes, and onions there, but have found that I need to use them quickly as the vegetables don't seem to last very long. They usually have a good price on different kinds of potatoes...

Up here. The selection is not bad. I will only buy the Smithfield smoked pork chops. But not often. I much prefer getting them from the Mennonites. Or, doing my own.

I went ahead and went up to Aldi's yesterday. Even though was not listed in our ad they had them on sale. Found two 3.5 lbs ones.

For those of you with an Aldi nearby, check your ad. Around me, they have point cut corned beef brisket on sale this week for $3.49/lb. limit 2. The ones I saw were around 2½ lbs. Can't buy any beef that cheap...

wish I wasn't so lazy. With March upon us, will probably wait or the pre-made corned beef to whip up a batch of pastrami.

They were ok. Crunchy on the outside. With good flavor. Nothing to run to the store for. The included sauce packet wasn't great though. It was supposed to be 1000 island. I just used what we had in the house. I'd give them a 6 out of 10.
