Cornbread

All this talk about cornbread here is mine....

2c. cornbread meal mix

1/2c. self rising flour

1 egg

2c. milk or butter milk

3Tbls oil or lard or bacon greese

Mix first 4 ingrents together put oil in iron skillet and heat up on stove. When hot pour in batter and cook in a 375 or 400* oven till done..I like mine in a glass with milk poured over it or any way you want to eat it..I also like it with a pot of greens and turnips..

Roller, morning.... Darn good looking corn bread...  Bride said she grew up with CB and milk in a glass... then she commented on popcorn in a glass with milk too....

Roller, If SE Kansas is southern...  her accent sounds southern at times... then I guess she is..... LOL ....

Yes Shoney that would be real good..I do have some of my smoked bacon in there...
