I have the Lem mighty bite #8. It works well but I want bigger one.
Don't plan on buying store ground anything any more.

I don't grind my own ground beef. The processors I use do a pretty good job of it.Don't plan on buying store ground anything any more.
Yeah , but grow your own is an upgrade .I don't grind my own ground beef.
Yeah, I reckon so but every now and then we get back ground beef that is a little too lean. They can only work with what gets sent for processing.Yeah , but grow your own is an upgrade .![]()
You will enjoy it.Thanks all. I ordered the LEM Big Bite #8
Not big on their seasonings, but their equipment is top notch. You will enjoy it.
Still playing with seasonings for venison summer sausage. Going to try Owen’s and Ton’sNot big on their seasonings, but their equipment is top notch.
I find the seasonings from LEM to be too salty for my tastes. I mostly make my own.Still playing with seasonings for venison summer sausage. Going to try Owen’s and Ton’s
First time for everything .............. lol.I have never done a double grind in my life.
Same! Once through is a nice grind. I dont want pink paste.I have never done a double grind in my life.
You might if you were trying to get as close to an emulsified sausage as possible using only a grinder, say for hotdogs, as an example.I dont want pink paste.
Got my new grinder today. I had also purchased two new LEM salvinox knives. One to pair with each plate. Is the knife that was included with the grinder different? I just figured I'd save it for backup or pair it with the kidney bean plate....which I'll probably never use.
True.Pairing the knives and plates is not as important as you might think. It’s a fine practice but really not necessary if the knife and plates are all true and flat.
The plates that came with our Weston grinders are 8mm, 4.5mm and 3mm. I mostly use the medium plate.Hopefully DougDougE will chime in on the plate sizes.
