So we notice the a few weeks ago that we had a new neighbor.
We have a long covered front porch and the open side is closed in by a wysteria plant climbing on a trellis. A pair of robins decided to build a nest in it that happens to be right at head height. Nature being what it is it wasn't long until a new bundle of scrawny joy joined the party.
A few days later all three were hatched. Mohawks are the in look I guess... lol.
Momma bird has been realy good about leting my wife take picture... even though she does ocassionaly give us a dirty look.
Nothing like a little early morning yoga to work the kinks out.
Apperantly somebody thought he was being neglected and not getting enough attention with the baby birds around. I am pretty sure if you look closely enough there is a smile on that face.... lol.
Demanding little buggers! All they want to do is eat, eat, eat. Poor mom and dad are almost never at the nest for more than the time it takes to stuff food down their hungry little necks.
I think this one is doing an Oscar the Grouch imitation.
I wonder what these guys would think of some good Que!
That's all for now. I'll update the post as they get bigger. Needless to say my girls are loving this, getting a close up view of nature at it's best.
