...foiling saves time, but destroys that marvelous bark you get without foil.

I found this out last week. I was tired and double foiled the BB so I would not have to pull and all nighter. I definitely missed the bark of my first BB smoke.

Thanks for the informative post. I've heard about and seen burnt ends but did not know how to fix them until now.
