Just got a pellet smoker a pretty good one. I also have a nice wood smoker. Bought the pellet mainly so I can still cook something when I don't have time to tend a fire. So, after using it a few times it cooks great except it just doesn't have quite as much bark and for some things as much smoke as I would like. I know you can get the tube to help with the smoke, I haven't done that yet. Anyway to the point, has anyone tried to do both? Set the pellet up to cook until you can get the time to tend a fire then move over to the wood or vice versa? If so, what did you think?
