bauchjw bauchjw I have one just like that, though it's disabled. Finally rotted out where yours is rotting. Couldn't stand on 2 legs.:emoji_disappointed: It's retired, until further notice. Too many good cooks/memories on it to not use it for a fire pit or something.....
Man between the three wheel bottom vents and the thicker steel and porcelain they are the bomb for smokin' low and slow.
I too got mine from a garage sale in the late '80s, though I paid $20 for mine :emoji_laughing:

I hear you! I don’t have an emotional connection to any of the newer black ones, I’m on my second one since I picked this one up. But the weight and Quality of this one makes me sure I’ll be keeping this one I indefinitely. It’s just really cool and is definitely best for longer cooks.
 
I have a red one I've had for about 15 years. a friend won it somewhere and he didn't want to fool with charcoal. It has the Budweiser logo on the top. I'ts held up good. Only issues is where I dropped the top a coupe of times and it chipped and is now rusted.
