Utah had a cold snap with lots of needed rain - FINALLY. got over 3.5" in my hood in 2 days. Highs were in the 50's. A much needed break from the heat wave. SOOO that meant I used the oven for the first time in months. Much prefer bread in the indoor oven. the gasser will work for both pies and breads, but it sucks a lotta propane and sometime has a burnt grease odor...

SO this is what I made - a traditional SD boule and a SD pie with Italian sausage onions and block olives. Both turned out great! The boule was the softest SD i have made to date...I suspect it was due to the high humidity. normally we are at 10% or less. pretty sure its way up with all the rain and cool weather. Got me real excited for winter cooking. Big fan of seasonal cooking.

Nice! I have no idea what a boule is but it looks tasty. So does the pizza ;-)
Good to hear about the weather change. Been worried about you folks out there.

That looks really good! Your kitchen has to smell heavenly after that!
