Just curious --

Has anyone ever tried using any type of cold smoke injector in conjunction with a crockpot

to smoke any kind of meat?

My wife loves to crockpot various pieces of pork, chicken, etc.

I'd love to find a way to gently add smoke to some of those, for part of the cooking time.

Given that it's a very small chamber to put smoke into, I'd guess that you wouldn't need to smoke for as long

as we ordinarily do with a MES or offset smoker and much bigger pieces of meat.

I can see various mechanical ways to raise up the lid on the crockpot a bit and inject some smoke while still retaining

moisture.

Anyone done this before?

thanks, NCSmoker

I've smoked corned beef for about 6 hours, then finished it in a crock pot.

I'm sure you could do that with many other cuts of meat.

The PolyScience Smoking Gun. A hand held smoke generator. Uses Dust and a small tube puts the smoke where you want it...JJ

I like to do anything pulled in the slow cooker first with spices and after a partial pulling smoke it for a couple of hours while doing ABT's

or anything else..!!
