I lived in Ft. lauderdale for 35 years & the locals would cut the top off with 1 swipe of a machete. Put a straw in & drink the milk. From there another swipe & it's cut in half & you can do a number of things with the meat.

Interesting read...Thanks for sharing. I live in northern Wisconsin and we don't even see many fresh coconuts but if i do i will have the knowledge to use the fruit.
