Howdy all,

I had some computer issues over the holidays so I haven't had a chance to share recently.  For Christmas, I fixed my first standing rib roast and it was phenomenal!  It is a new holiday tradition.  I used a mix of mesquite, hickory and apple.  Seasoned the meat with olive oil, black peeper, salt and garlic.  All I have are the left over pics.  Enjoy!

Now thats a good looking rib there Carson. Hey Al you do have to get one of those things. You'll never reget it either. Now you might have to go out and get a second job for you will want them all the time. You really can;t beat a good smoked rib roast.

Yeah, it was good and I do want another one, but it is expensive.  I think Christmas and birthdays may be the limit.

As a surprise for New Years eve/day (like I found out on Wednesday) I got to do 25 pounds of pulled pork for a party that my house had been volunteered for.  I think I fed the equivalent of about 50 to 60 meals on that.  It was a lot of work and a lot of fun.  No pics unfortunately, but everyone liked it and I didn't have any leftovers.

Thanks again for the inspiration.

Hey Mark, I almost bought one this morning. The wife was with me & Prime rib is her favorite food of all time. It was $9 per pound & it goes on sale around here a lot. She said we should wait till the next sale. I should have told her if she got a job we could eat them every week. Ha Ha, maybe not.
