So it works incredibly well with amnps, it is adjustable speed and provides as little or as much airflow needed. I found that by using this, I have less “burn outs” and much more consistent tbs. I have also discovered that if you drink too much and forget to turn the fan speed down it is very effective at burning all the pellets at once. I have had great success with this mod for over 3 years, and I was hopeful the mes40 would like it too. I don’t use it when it’s below freezing, as the 800w element in the mes30 struggles to get to temp. New smoker arrives tomorrow, hoping to test the mod, get it seasoned, and first cook this weekend
Lol! I never considered filtering the air, but it could easily be done. I have smoked lotsa stuff with no filter over the years ;)Interesting idea!
I do hope it all goes very well for you. You can email the piece of Jerky when your air inducer fits right up to the 40. :D
Any thoughts about an air filter for it?
My baby sister use to breed dogs. Her moto was, "Everything's better with Dog Hair in it!"
I'll just leave you with that thought... LOL!

The kids that hung out on the bleachers at lunch ,,, way back when .It's likely a moot point. No need to filter it.
What's a "Burn Out"?
When it’s windy I just leave the unit in place without turning it on. Plenty of airflow on windy days.
When the amnps doesn’t have sufficient air flow and “burns out”, as in stops smoking
Well, I won’t be finding out today :(
