Chip holder will not twist to empty

I have a gen two MES. I added chips to it for the first time. Let it smoke down and the next time I tried to add more chips the chip holder was difficult to insert and would not twist to empty.  Any ideas why or how to correct it?

Look inside the smoker and see if you can find where it is hanging up....

Could very well be you added too many chips to the tray.  You have to make sure all of the chips are below the level of the tray.

Nope, not too many chips. I did look in it this am. It is scraping metal to metal in the rear where end of chip loader goes.  Strange to me it was smooth as silk  . After I had it curing for the initial smoke up it seemed the metal warped.
