From a country that furnished us sheet rock which grew mold we are going to trust their chicken now?

I was waiting for someone to say something..... With the price of chicken now averaging 1.60/lb. I can understand a need for some competition, but if you have tasted their fix for our crawfish market or seen how they raise their crabs to process, well, I am pretty sure I won't be trying any chicken now either.

“to export processed, cooked chicken to the United States.”

Just don't buy Tyson (among other brands) pre-grilled chicken strips or chicken tenders.

There is nothing wrong with Chinese Chicken. After all, it's not like they have poisoned their own children and workers. Hold it. Yes they have.

In addition to good thermometers for our 'Q do we now need lead and or gieger counters?

Not a fan of Chinese Foods...isn't that why they want to buy Smithfield Foods....or is that to steal their farming techniques?

With the billions of people over there I wouldn't think they would be exporting to much chicken. So, they buy our frozen birds, grind them into mock tenders or popcorn chicken and then freeze & ship back to us? Gimme a good ol' Arkansas whole bird anyday....I'll stay away from the processed tidbits.

Chinese are learning Capitalism, starve more and sell more. Japanese did transistor radios and Honda's, Koran's are doing ship building and KIAs, we did not fight China so they had to learn it on their own.

Chef Willie..  One day I was in your parts, picking up a load of Big Name Chicken, no worries Mike Tyson, I wont spill the beans. lol When I backed into the door, to load my chicken, I noticed a dump trailer, loaded with feathers and left overs. So I made the Mistake of asking. Well, I was told that that dump trailer of "left overs" was going up the road to another plant. There, it is cooked, dried, ground up and put in the feed and feed to there baby chickens.   Man Do I Love My Pasture Raised Chicken.                                                                                                I'm Just Sayin'                                                                                                                                SmokinMad

Now wait a minute Ya'll.  If you shop at good ole' Wal-mart, your already supporting Chinese Chicken.   I drove Tanker Trucks. One day, I delivered a load of unwinterized pig grease, to the Home Scents Co. in N.C.   Yea, Candles they make. So I had to ask. Why are you using pig grease in your scented candles?  WELL, they sell to Wal-mart and Wal-mart says to them. Either You figure a way to lower Your cost to us, Or we will buy scented candles in CHINA.  That made ME  SmokinMad

I went on a tour of a Chicken processing facility in Georgia a few years ago and one of the biggest things we ship to China is Chicken Feet.

I did ask the guys running the facility about how much of the chicken is thrown away and they told me they use about 95% of the chicken...between feathers, bones, feet and of course the meat.

SmokinMad...I wonder what types of toxic chemical are added to the Chinese Scented Candles?

I remember when Wal-Mart was all about made in America....not so much anymore....

I read, several months back, that W-M was increasing their american made inventory....   Hope that works out.......

From the Huffington Post.... edited to remove links

Already about 2/3 of the products sold by Walmart's U.S. unit are American-made, grown or sourced, according to Reuters. But on Tuesday, the company announced it would aim to buy $50 Billion more in U.S.-made goods over the next 10 years, in areas like appliances, sporting goods and towels.

Rich..    Unfortunately, our Whole World is " TOXIC ".  The Japanese Reactor that melted down is Still radio-acting our planet. The numbers of radioactive contamination in the Pacific North West is still effecting America.   Beam Me Up J.C.         And it makes me SmokinMad  how Wally World is strong arming our American Companies.  I was told they have 5 super ships, that travel between us and them, bringing in goods. One in each port and 1 going and 1 coming  and an extra 1 in the mix.
