Loaded the grates with a lil beef today. Should be some good eatin tonight.

I take it the Chuck is cooking a while longer to get tender?

Curious, so how'd the Chuck turn out cooked like that?
I don't see or read of any brine, marinade or injection beforehand.
I've needed to marinate or otherwise tenderize to attain a tender Chuck when cooking below Well Done on the Smoker/BBQ or Crockpot.
