No argument about the 2nd and concealed means concealed.

That said, there would be problems if I was found carrying in Washington State to the north or California to the south. Last summer I passed through 11 or 12 states on an 8 week trip to the mid west and back. No way to know how many state and local laws/regs were violated.
you know a lot.

When traveling, look up the states you will be passing through. Gary Slider does a great job of keeping the site current.

funny, they pulled this up at the class. CO permit is good through most of the center of the US. east coast and CA NV OR WA are a no go though. I can add Utah for $20 after i get my CO.

Being a gun guy and a member of various gun related forums for a lot of years, this has always been the go to site to check the carry laws in states you will be travelling through for a long time. It's well maintained and up to date.

Not really related to this thread but more to how times have changed... I remember talking to an older rural mail carrier, he said in his younger years he carried a shotgun with him while delivering mail... so he could shoot pheasants in season while on the route lol!

Wouldn't surprise me at all. When I was in high school during deer season. It seemed like every pickup truck in the lot had a hunting rifle in the back window, and nobody gave it a second thought.

Same when I was in HS. We had "redneck row", or "truck row" as we called it. 15-20 4x4 trucks all backed in side by side in the parking lot. Everyone would have a gun rack with a rifle AND a shotgun...had to be ready for any type hunting after school...😉

My brother from Idaho did a lot of traveling. I believe he said New Mexico was the adder he needed not for necessarily concealed but just for carry (possession)

Rack carry in MN not allowed unless cased and unloaded when I was in HS.

A number of us got called to the office one day. ??
School Principal called the meeting of known hunters.
He simply asked us with firearms to not park on school property. Funny thing is he lived across the street and public parking parking was in front of his house. Did he care? Not in the least. I often ran into him for morning duck hunting.
One day I was late as we got into a really good hunt.
Office policy was unexcused. I appealed to Principal and his first question was " good shooting"
I was excused.

Same down here and none of the trucks were locked heck a lot would have the windows open. Never a stolen gun from there and never did someone go grab a gun and shoot anybody. You might would have a fist fight once in a great while a knife might be involved but never gun. If a knife was pulled it was usually thrown down quickly when the whole crowd threatened to shove it somewhere the guy pulling it certainly didn't want it

Good ole days! It was the same for me. Hell, one time during our 1 week firearms season, we had a late practice, so a bunch of us slid out after school to get a hunt in. We pushed it a little too long and was almost late for practice. The coach was standing in the door watching us unload our guns and toss them in our vehicles all the while yelling that we better not be 1 second late. Didn't care about the guns, just us being late lol!
