I forgot I posted this, but I have updates! Last year fell apart and everything got kicked down the road.

Got right eye done today, lefty is tomorrow. When with the light adjustable lenses. quite excited to get this started and finished. LAL's were spendy, but if they can make my vision better its so worth it. The Dr told me if I went with a standard lense I would need glasses the rest of my life. I already wore them for 20+, do want to go backwards. I dont mind readers but that it.

Found an amazing surgeon with the lowest complication rate in the US, and she is just a wonderful sole. She told me and my wife things about our eyes no one ever has. My wife starts Oct 6,

I got the adjustable in one eye and it's awesome. I used to have reading glasses everywhere but could read without them right after surgery

Since I maxed out my annual OOP, its come time to get my eyes fixed - cataract surgery.

I am leaning towards throwing down for the adjustable ones. They mess with them like 3 times, then set them. so you start at the best place you can. but they are very expensive. Anyone got these?

Any other feedback on the surgery is greatly appreciated.

i got cataract surgery a few years ago and opted for the upgraded lens that solved all my vision problems. Now I don't need glasses of any kind, and i'd been wearing them full time since age 8. My lenses were called multifocal torric since they fixed everything, including my astigmatism. The upcharge was $5K, but they are so worth it. Now, everything from 6 inches to infinity is in sharp focus all the time. A bit troublesome looking at things through a screened door or window, though, since both the screen and the far off stuff is sharply in focus.

I had cataract surgery 3 years ago this month. I had the Light Adjustable Lenses (LAL) as I didn’t want to wear glasses anymore as I’ve been wearing glasses for distance since 1st grade. Gradually I started needing readers so my glasses were progressive lenses. When my eye doctor told me about the LAL lenses I was sold. I did do my due diligence by reading everything I could and watching numerous YouTube videos. Since my left eye is my dominant eye that is my distance eye. My right eye is now my reading eye. Other than having to wear the special sunglasses they give you whenever you are outside or in a sunlit room before they lock in the prescription I had no complaints. I did three adjustments before I was really happy. Driving at night is a pleasure and I can read even the small print on a prescription bottle. Make sure you follow the eye-drop schedule religiously. These are the comments that inspired me to go for it. Everyone says the same thing. Left eye is getting it done in a couple hours. THen the wait for the adustments.

When I has Lazic 26 years ago it was a miracle. I literally woke up and could see perfectly. Obviously this process is very different but I am excited for the improvements. My wife is farsighted and never had any option till now. She will be so so happy to ditch the contacts and glasses.
