I was just checking out the Weber genesis II online as I saw a commercial for Ace Hardware advertising them. I just bought my genesis 330 a few years ago so I was kind of bummed I missed out on the new one until I just read they are made in China! Wtf Weber??? Half the reason I bought my pricey Weber is because it was made in America! Here's to hoping I get 20 years out of my 2014 Weber because I won't pay a premium price for a Chinese made product. I hope trump taxes the bleep outta Weber for this!

I'm with you! I got the 310 - few years back and it's a tank! Well built, holds the heat, even cooking. Honestly it gets neglected because I prefer the charcoal taste/process but when I need it, it performs flawlessly. It's a shame that such an American company is shipping its production elsewhere. I agree that even if the quality is similar (which it won't be) I wouldn't pay top dollar for it.

Well that's a bummer!

I have (had 6 Weber grills/smokers, sold 2 of the smokers & 1 grill) in the last few weeks!

It's a shame they went to China.

I'm glad my Lang is still made here.

That's what I'm saying lemans! Weber in china just doesn't seem right....

Yeah I assume that's true but I won't sell mine. The review I saw on the new one said some of the metal is thinner and cheaper. This aggravates me to no end.
