broke in the new Yoder ys640 with a brisket. Figured it had to be something traditional for the maiden voyage.

Overall I think it came out pretty good for my first time using a pellet rig. Pretty easy job.

Scout the current leader of Team Wonder Dog was happy to get a few bites.

Pulled it around 198-202 depending on where you temped it. Great bark. Love butcher brown for this reason.

Sam (9 months) has grown to love the defender rides we take to the farm to train and swim. She sits by it and whines waiting to ride. For this reason she’s been nicknamed Can-Am Sam. So while waiting for this brisket to finish I took her to the ponds to train. Pups gonna be a great waterfowl dog one day.

thanks for looking

That looks great! I have been looking around at pellet grills and find myself always going back to the Yoders. They sure seem to be built like tanks!
Lovin' the pups too, gotta chocolate and yellow here, always trying to find some snacks when we're cooking, lol

Thanks. The dogs are treated like kings around here. When they are not hunting or training they are running around the ranch or swimming at one of the ponds.

Labs are great. They pull their weight around here that’s for sure.

the Yoder is a tank. I’m gladI went with it over the other manufactures pellet rigs. It’s worth the wait and the money.

Nice job on the brisket!
Especially, since it’s your first run!

Appreciate it Al. I was a little concerned like always using a new rig. But honestly these things do everything themselves. Pretty hard to mess it up. Long way from the old char broil stick burners I have that you couldn’t walk away from for more then 15 minutes or you’d have 50 degree temp swings! Lol.

Those look fantastic . Looks like the Yoder is gonna earn its keep . .

Love working with dogs . Very rewarding .
Thanks.

agreed about the dogs. Especially when your hunting with new people who are not use to dogs with that level of training. It’s awesome to see someone blown away with what they can do.

Scott, the brisket looks great, nice way to break in that Yoder. And we love our dogs. As Roger Caras said, "Dogs aren't our whole life, but they make our lives whole."

Welcome to the world of Yoder. I’ve had the 640 about 4 years now. Good machines, just remember to unplug them after every cook. Great looking dog. Ours is a yellow.
