SO! smoked my first brisket today! Not bad for my first time if I do say so myself!
3 pounder, brined for 1.5 hours, rubbed down, cooked for just over 6 hours, 4 of them with hickory smoke (1 hour in the oven at 325 with beef broth in the bottom).
I will defiantly cook it a lot longer next time but husband was getting hungry! served with Pioneer Woman's 'crash potatoes' (SO GOOD!) and salad from my garden! Can't wait to try it again.
