Brisket packer prices

I went to pick up a full packer brisket yesterday and prices were $6+ / lb at multiple stores. I looked at the wholesale price for IMPS #120 and it hasn't moved in weeks (~$3.10/lb).  Anyone else seeing a sharp jump this week?

It sorta varies around here...but $6+ per lb. seems pretty steep!  Mrs. Red always stocks our meat freezer with stuff when she finds it on sale.  The last packer I did, the sale price on the tag was $2.79 / lb.  We couldn't afford to eat brisket if we had to pay $6 / lb. for it.

Even at $2 something a pound , I couldn't afford it...

Watch , if I decided to become a Vegetarian , veggies would go sky high too
