Hey guys I just picked up a brinkman electric smoker not too long ago and its worked fine up until today, it wouldn't get hotter than about 155-160ish. Normally its in the 250+ range. Do u think the heating element has finally kicked it? I only paid $12 for it and found another element replacement at bass pro. My question really would be if i chose to replace it, how do i go about doing that? It didn't come with instructions since it was secondhand. And i wasn't the one who assembled it. Lol. Can someone help me out here? As a jet engine mechanic Im sure i can find a way to get it outta there, but i figure i should ask first. Haha

Mods can go ahead and dump this thread. Person who had it used some kind of brazing or something to hold it in there. Just cut it out and cleaned up element. Now working like a charm again. Haha.:yahoo:
