Brining a Kosher Turkey

I have always purchased kosher turkeys because they seem more flavorful to me and my family.  I was wonder if you can brine a kosher bird?

Absolutely, yes you can.

I use this one for chicken or turkey.

8 cups ice/water                                                  

1/4 cup salt                                                            

1/2 cup raw sugar

1/8 cup red pepper flakes                                   

1/4 cup Montreal chicken seasoning              

1/4 cup granulated garlic

Below is a thread on Koshering a turkey....   Salt plays an important role in blood removal...    Salting of the bird may be one part of the improved flavor along with removal of the blood....  So, in reflection, the bird is already "dry brined" with salt...
