Brand new to smoking

Hey yall.

We received our first smoker as a Christmas present. It's a Masterbuilt Sportsman Elite electric smoker. I'm here first of all trying to figure out how to use it as neither myself or my girlfriend have ever used one before, and secondly to learn and eventually share recipes and all. We're in Central Texas and smoking is almost as popular here as barbeque. We're both excited to be stepping into the smoking realm!

Welcome to the group Bryan!  Congrats on that new Masterbuilt!  You'll find that this is a great place to share ideas on smoking, grilling, etc.  There are plenty of folks here who genuinely enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
