Not to get into a political argument here, but Hank Jr's remarks were juvenile and stupid. As a defacto spokesman of a network, or even just as a celebrity, you can and should get your point across with a little more tact and decorum than he did. I'm a former Republican appointee, and lost my job the day Obama took office. I obviously didn't vote for the current President, nor do a I agree with most of his policies. That being said, if I were the guy in charge of ESPN, I'd have fired old Hank too.
And just to be clear, I don't think Hank was comparing Obama to Hitler, he was saying that Obama and Boehner are as much Polar Opposites as Hitler and Netanyahu (SP?). The entire rant, however, was so rabidly divisive it ended up making him look like a complete loon. Referring to the sitting President as "the enemy" and to The President, Vice President and Senate Majority leader as the "Three Stooges" is just classless and irresponsible. I like HWJ, and I think we're on the same page politically (well, at least the same chapter) but it's this kind of ranting and raving that's keeping us from ever reaching any sort of non partisan balance.
Now, back to the BBQ....
