The big Chief smoker has a problem of blowing elements which cost too much .....so buy a small counter top cook unit from Canadian Tire or or Home Hard Ware and it fits wtthere the element was and control is at the door for the Pan and then put a heaveyduty pan on it and use 1/2 in wafers of wood and adjust as needed
