Quit whining.  Go plant your own Lilacs.

It only take about 30 years before you get branches that size.  And then you have to wait another 10-15 years before trimming very much, so as to not stress the tree.

Or........

See those very large Lilacs trees down the street, or on that other road, you drive by every day? 

I bet they don't check them for missing branches too often, and pruning tools don't make a sound, at night.   You can buy good pruning tools for 30-60 bucks.

I bet your return value in wood, would pay for itself in one night.  Or maybe... even in one snip!  LOL
