Casper's for me, seeing that all of our local butcher shops have closed.
I like the thinner natural casings dogs, that way I can load them up with a pickle wedge, sliced white onion, sliced tomatoes, and mustard, or a big gob of kraut, onion, and mustard.

NEVER, EVER!!!!!! ketchup, or mayo, that's like putting beans in chili, or worse. 🤣

Nathan's natty cased are so good. Then it's a tie between Dietz and Watson (I like the New York style, I'll eat the other ones if I can get them on clearance) and skinless Nathan's

Harris Teeter had them buy 2 get 3 free (as did Publix, but Publix charges more) so I bought 10 packs. 5 natty cased (all they had or I'd have bought 10 of just those), I tried a pack of the Colossal sized (meh) and the rest were the longer skinless.

That'll last me a long time. I don't eat a lot of hot dogs. I will eat a pack of natty cased in 2 days, 5 to a pack. The natty cased ones I can eat without bun or condiments. Only dog I like enough to do that with.

I saw someone raving about Sahlens a while back - I tried them. Cooked 2, ate 2 bites, tossed the rest. I don't know what is in there that I don't like but damn, it's terrible.

Have tried several, usually have ended up with Nathan’s … but I just tried Niman Ranch Fearless Uncured Beef Franks … my new favorite!

JJ used to talk about them , and I see they have a following . They sell them at GFS . Grabbed some a year or so ago . Wasn't impressed at all . I keep thinking I need to revisit them , but always put them back . They sell the sliced bologna too .
