I bought a Grizzly 5 lb stuffer for right at $100 and am very happy with it!

Excuse me it was $85, I was thinking of my grinder.

I bought a new open box return Lem 5# from ebay. It was just over 100 with shippng. It works great.........I ran a ad on Craigslist wanting a stuffer for a few weeks. I got a bunch of calls but most were for grinders that will also kinda stuff. Maybe it is worth a shot to see what might be in your area.

Happy smoken.

I have a 1hp cabelas grinder with stuffing attachments but it is such a pain. I am hoping a stiffer will work better

Oh i totally agree I have never used my ginder as a stuffer I had already heard it's not much of a stuffer. I would also say vertical is the only way to go. i hope you find a great deal on a stuffer.

Happy smoken.

From everything I've read, stuffing with a grinder is a PITA, you will be happy to have a dedicated stuffer!

their is a thread somewhere on here about using a large stuffer on small sticks. They will most likly fail. I know weare talking about a 5# here not a 15# Just wanted to get that out their. For those who think bigger is better.

happy smoken.

You can stuff sticks with a 15 lb stuffer, it's a little hard to crank but if you mix the meat a little wet it works just fine. We did about 20 lbs of sticks at NFL with a 15 lb stuffer!

I know you can do it. Their is a thread on here that may or may not still have the link to a LEM video. Showing how they will fail. If the manufacture doesn't like the idea. I have to wonder. It's like stuffing with a grinder it can be done. Not everyone needs the best, Top of the line equipment. If so i would already have a hobart slicer......I want a Hobart. Not need a Hobart.
