Home made egg noodles to be exact. I floured and browned the chunks of Chuck I had previously frozen, then put them in a pot of broth made from beef base and cooked until tender. I made a batch of egg noodles and stretched them a bit as I dropped them in the pot. More like "Beef and dumplings" I suppose, but it was darned tasty!
Roads here are covered in a sheet of ice, so wasn't going anywhere, and what better to do than cook up some comfort food.

Oh Man. I haven't had homemade egg noodles in about forever and a half. Grandma used to make them. Mom never did.

They are actually quite easy to make. I put them Chicken, Beef or even a big pot of beans

I know your weather wows too icy to smoke so we made a big ole pot of beans but yours looks better points to you

Nothing like home made rib sticking meals. Looks awesome. Was the beef smoke previously smoked? I added some smoked beef to veggie soup once and what an awesome flavor it added to the soup.

Thanks everyone!
HalfSmoked HalfSmoked I did not smoke the Chuck as we had freezing rain resulting in everything becoming a skating rink around here

That does look like comfort food,I make a lot of my own noodles most times.Points

Looks like a real tasty meal. Good for those housebound nights.

Point for sure.

Looks like a awesome bowl of soup!!
A lot of times when chuck roasts go on sale I will buy some and smoke and vacuum seal them for a later date. Might have to give some soup a try. Probably not home made noddles though.
Point worthy!
