Springfield, MO.
My wife and I are going up to Kansas City in a couple of weeks, and I would like to know if anyone can recommend any good barbecue restaurants to go to.
After reading the reviews on "Fiorella's"here I think I'll stay away from there.

If you go to Arthur Bryants, avoid the one by the race track on the Kansas side. Go downdown and go to that one.

Are you talking about the one by the dog track?I'm going to be staying at "Harrah's" on the northeast side of K.C.,but might run over to the dog track if we have enough time.
I'll be coming up from Springfield,Mo. and going back the same way so I'm up to eating anywhere that has good barbecue.

He's talking about the one by the Nascar track by Cabelas. Not that good and way overpriced.

my personal favorite is the Wabash in Excelsior Springs (about 20 minutes NE of Harrahs), north east of Liberty - it's near the old Elms hotel, in the old train station. Brisket is great as are the ribs!
