Thanks, he definitely wasTell your son great job, looks excellant, he should be proud
Thanks, we sure try. Seems like some things like this are a lost art these days. That is just too cool! Way to go mom and dad. You've set good things in motion.
Thanks, I'm gonna have to rip it off him and sprint to the wash machine soon lol.Nice! Love the chef's jacket. Wish I had had one when I was his age.
Thanks. growing up, my Mom & Dad definitely shared the cooking. It was always undecided between me, my brother & sister who was the best cook. Turns out it didn't matter we all ate very well. That's awesome getting your son started early. Chef coat looks like it was meant for him, especially with the bread coming out like that!
It's a dream of mine that my future kids will fall in love with cooking too.
Thanks, you & him would get along great. He likes to eat just the frosting tooThat looks pretty good, even though I hate banana bread. I'd take a swipe of that frosting, though. Out of the bowl. I'm the same with raisins, too. Hate them but wished I didn't.
Thanks Justin, we definitely areThats awesome! I would be super proud of him!
Thanks, definitely a good thing to learnI think he did a great job. I bet it taste fantastic.
GMA got me into a little baking. Did my own batch of chocolate chip cookies at that same ripe age of seven, with her leaning over my shoulder. She did teach me how to knit also, but wouldn't have a clue anymore. Didn't stick with it long enough
Thanks, I was surprised myself how into it he is. They made homemade pasta & sauce tonight. He's on spring break so they have a little extra time this week.Awesome
My son was just not interested in cooking and baking until much later than 7
Being independent is definitely not a bad thing, and something that seems lost these days. I admire very much your Mom's values, in that we operate much the same.My mom and dad made me and my 3 brothers cook dinner every week, one of us at a time, for about six months. I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. Yes, she kept an eye on us. The only meal I can recall making was taking a hot dog, slicing the length but not all the way through, a slice of cheese in the middle, wrapped with a slice of bacon and into the oven. I don't remember any sides, but everyone was more than happy to eat a second or third one.
I figured out she was leading us to the path of independence. That hit me when our folks gave us all a set of luggage for high school graduations. Most of the chores we had fell along the same line.
