Walking plates can get a little touchy when wet too. Of course it ain't the fall, it's the sudden stop at the end of it! RAY

It's gone from drizzle to sleet and now snow here. Temps are supposed to get below zero tonight, but after seeing some of these posts I don't feel so bad LOL!
I did go out this morning for a few things and won't have to leave the house until Monday or Tuesday. I love retirement.....

One guy used to pull his tape out and if 4 raindrops hit between 1 and 7 inches he rolled up .
That don't pay the bills . Rain was just another day for the most part .
It would have to really pour down for us to leave .

That's funny
On the jobs I used to work on when we were building warehouses the iron workers used to do that. Draw a circle on the steal and if 3 drops would leave a mark at same time they would pack it up . LOL But they were working with welders and such.

When I was working in construction (Laborers Union and I generally worked Carpenters Helper), on a really cold day they'd send me out to smack a 1" re-bar from a previous pour with an 8# sledge. If the re-bar snapped off they called it a day.
