After along day at work, nobody was at home to cook dinner and I needed to pick the kid up in a little bit. So the Tri tip smoke was shot and the rest of the week isn't any more promising it's time to fire up the cast iron pan! Seasoned with salt garlic and Bad Byrons butt rub into a screaming hot pan nicely seared then into a 500* oven flipped it twice and set to rest. Then I thought why not toss a little butter in the pan and scrapped up the bits for extra flavor. At worst it will be some tasty sammiches.

I don't know why but I had to come back to enter a pic hopefully a sliced pic later!

By that pic, it should be great

Looks almost good as the one o made on the George!

Can't really tell because you didn't show us any sliced pics!!'

If I'd wanted fancy I'd broke out the Henderson's Relish!

Looks great Bone! Still our favorite cut of beef and yours looks spectacular!

Point!

I have to agree it's a great cut of meat, especially for the price I can normally get them $3.69 or less.:sausage:

I wish we had tri-tip around here.  I can get it but the last time I did I had to buy a case.  I remember it costing about $280.  I split it with a friend.  We both ended up with about 8-10 pieces if I remember right.
