Take a look for Bearded Butchers. They have a Black option that I use a lot on steaks, should work quite well with brisket.
Hardcore Carnivore Black?
GYAO Gunpowder maybe ?
Did you ever find a substitute or recipe for Black Ops rub?Saw that Oakridge is calling it quits and am wondering if y'all know of any rubs that are similar to their Black Ops Brisket Rub. Thanks in advance for any helpful leads!
The rub I posted is an exceptional activated charcoal based rub and priced well below what it's worth.Did you ever find a substitute or recipe for Black Ops rub?
Since they are out of business, this is the ingredient list from the back of the bag. No charcoal.Bearded butcher and HCC Black are completely different flavor profiles. Bearded has the coffee and molasses. HCC is an SPG with activated charcoal. So, depending on what type of rub Oak ridge was, one maybe might be closer. What was it like?
Yep I saw that after my post last night. I saw a coffee rub posted on this site at one point in time.Since they are out of business, this is the ingredient list from the back of the bag. No charcoal.
