Anyone worked with aluminum flashing ?

I live in a housing addition in the city. You'd be surprised at the wildlife that exists here. Possum, fox, and raccoon.

Coons can get into stuff and really make a mess. If he is a return, I'd get a live trap and run him out to the country about 5 miles.
I normally like fox, but the last one in the yard pursued towards my small dog ( didn't think the fox would, coyote yes ), so he had to go night night. Predator Control guy has taken out 6 yotes trapping/ thermal hunting. Can still hear them howling all the time.

Yep, he's not getting much to eat.

My neighbor keeps chickens. He was woke up one night with a commotion and a fox had one of his chickens. He ran out and saved the bird.

That may be happening when they're leaving. But to enter they've got to climb pickets. I have video of them, but I don't know how to post it.

Try Lead, instead....22 cal long CB caps they are quieter than a pellet gun.

Honestly, I'd try a motion activate sprinkler there before I defaced my fence.
I used to have this one, to keep the critters out of my vegetable garden, it worked good.

I just bought this one from Amazon, a little pricier, but it can be set for night time only. And I have Orbit timers on my yard sprinklers and they work really well.

I have a 22 pellet gun with suppresser. Pretty darn quite. And packs a nice punch. Though. I wouldn't target a cat. Some say motion detector lights work. Don't believe that for a second!

Asked him about it , and he played it off as not happening .
Set up one of those sprinklers , and soak the MoFo to the bone . He had that " My underwear is wet " look on his face . Lol .

I had that one as well, they both worked equally. Be prepared to get blasted by it while adjusting it, and while walking out back in the middle of the night to take a leak, it happens when you're least expecting. I used to love sending my nieces into my garden to pick veggies to make a salad, I wish I had video of it, it was priceless.

Once a housing tract went in, feral cats became a thing, they decimated the pheasant population. I had zero issues with doing my part in helping get rid of the feral cats, it was easy to tell them apart from, fluffy, the house cat. The feral's would hunt my wife's bird feeder daily. Some days they would kill up to six doves a day off our bird feeders alone until I found out about the CB caps. I have a killer Sheridan Blue streak .22 cal pellet gun, the CB caps were much quieter, and more accurate in my Gramp's old Browning .22 cal bolt action. The CB caps will not cycle most semi auto guns.

A feral cat is another story. I'd drop them without a second thought. I haven't seen 22 shorts in years.

IMO the aluminum wont stop them. An electric fence will. You can run a wire across the top of the pickets to a power supply. One or two zaps should do it and they'll stop.

If I were really mean and cruel, which I'm not, I would trap them, spray paint them orange, and then let them go back home.

And if that did not send the message, I would trap them and take them 5 miles away to the river and let them loose.

But that's not me. And they're not doing that much damage.

I did that once. Released it more like 10 miles away. Two weeks later the danged thing was back! It did not have a collar and I'm sure my neighbor isn't savvy or tech enough to have had a chip in it (this was many moons ago). Finally that neighbor doesn't appear to have replaced that cat and it disappeared a few years back (not my doing), but of course a new neighbor moves in to another house and brings their idiot cat with them. It seems to stay away form our house though, as far as any noticeable spraying. I've watched its path and it follows the trails in the woods, across my driveway and back toward it's "home".

Take pictures to your neighbors. You shouldn't have to go through the expensive of "cat proofing" your own property.
I've got coyote, coon, and fox issues in my back yard I'm trying to deal with, cameras tripping all the time from 3 different cats. They all just roam freely.

Problem is you have to be confrontational with your neighbor in the first place. At least thats the way they will see it. Cat people, for some reason, dont see the problem with their cats on your property. I never thought to ask our local shelter if one can anonymously bring a trapped cat to them.

I tell my neighbors I have rat poison under my shed to keep the rats at bay. Not my fault if your cat comes on to my property and eats a rat pellet....might want to keep your cats out of other people's yards. I have no sympathy for irresponsible cat owners.

And who's to say a tin of dollar store cat food isn't an effective extra attractant for rats?

However, I would love to get a cat in the garage who is a mouser extraordinaire!

Good ole fashioned snap traps and some really old stinky cheese rind as bait. They cant resist it. I cut up small pieces and cram it, with pliers if needed in to the metal loops (you need that kind, not the paddle type you smear bait on, they can lick that stuff off without tripping the trap) so they have to tug on it.

I catch probably at least a dozen a year and haven't had one in the walls anywhere since I started using them. Over time you learn where the most effective locations are where they run. I keep 4 of them baited in my garage. Funny thing is, I suspect them coming in through the little gaps at the ends of the garage door gasket but rarely catch them there. Always closer to the house side of the garage (attached garage). Reminds me I have two to reset right now.

I haven't killed any cats, but I had a coworker years ago, when we were in the truck heading to a job and stopped at 7-11, he reached into the bed of the truck and grabbed a bag and threw it in the trash can. When we asked what that was about (it wasn't normal) he said it was his neighbors cat.

He went on to explain the cat had been driving them nuts getting up on their bedroom window sill and screaming in the middle of the night. They were sleeping with their window open. I'll just say a window screen doesn't stop a pellet!
