I finally realized the task ahead of me removing the red lining from the inside of a 55 gal drum for a UDS. Muratic acid (full strength) did not work, Easy Off oven cleaner worked some but not enough for my taste and my shoulders are not up to abrasive removal. So, I bought a drum that had been bead blasted inside and out and repainted on the outside. I did not pay any more than if I we have had the drum with the red coating sand blasted.

So, if anyone wants a open head drum, with red lining on the inside, at a really good price, I have one for sale.

Another "learning experience".
