I am curious on feedback once you try it out. I would've thought that wattage would be right at the line to run 1 AC and other things. I have a 5th wheel as well but went with a bigger model (harbor freight) to be safe. My limited experience with dual burners is it runs through propane a lot faster. I get the ethanol free gas but I also only use it for Talladega in field once a year.

Pls let us know what you think once you try it out.

Do yourself a favor and install soft start kits in both AC units. I have a HF 3500 watt inverter /gen and can run both AC units at the same time. Soft starts will safe the life of your AC compressors. Also I use nothing but ethanol free gasoline in all my gas equipment.

I only use non-ethanol in John Deere. The only gas thing I have other then the car/truck. I have no intension of putting gas in the generator. But, if comes to that. That's all I use. The previous owner left this in the fifth wheel.

The genny in the RV is rated at 30 amps. It'll run the ac and the microwave. But if you plug in the coffee maker. POP! Same with the ac and water heater. Two together. And I'm pushing 25-26 amps. I just learned to budget the current draw.
The rating on the genny I bought for the fifth wheel. Is 10 hours on a tank of gas. And 25 hours on the 20 pound tank of propane. Both at 1/4 load. So, that figures highly on usage. I'd like to think that for camp situation for temporary power. One tank will provide what we'd need. Though I have three 20 pound tanks. And two 30 pound tanks in the camper.

ON (not auto) only keeps the fan running all the time.. The compressor still kicks in and out creating a big draw when it kicks on... When in auto the fan comes on first and runs for a minute and then the compressor kicks in afterwards... So it kinda creates the same scenario... No ??
I don't think the compressor shuts off when set at low temp in the On position so no kicking in/out (maybe wrong, not HVAC knowledgeable)
I know something was different because we couldn't run them when they were in Auto
