Well, got a gold prospecting camp trip this weekend. One guy offered to bring a chain saw so we would have a group fire being as it is mid November already. We got to talking and we have a full pot luck going for saturday. I did up 7lbs of brats last nite, got em sittin in the fridge to bloom up good. first attempt at tying em in 3's. not too shabby. still gotta work on it though. 2lbs in bowl, 5 tied up.

unfortunately at this moment, i'm using up whats left of some seasoning packets i have that wife got for me. back in 93/94 I used to have a recipe that i got from a customer in Nurnberg Germany while I was over there. Like a idiot at 18/19 yo, never bothered to keep up with it much. so i was restricted to seasoning kits until internet came along. then life hit me, wife, kids, BILLS...., all meat processing got put on hold for several years. when i got it back out, wife got me some seasoning kits. if you can believe it, this is my first time trying to tie brats like that. i did however watch SEVERAL video's on youtube on doing it. actually going spice shopping this evening while picking up a new in the box masterbuilt elec smoker. gosh i HATE craigslist....
