I just bought my Masterbuilt 40" this week & all ready

pre-season it somebody told me instead

of using the wood chip tray & wood chip

loader they don't use  they use something called AMNS----what is it where would you

 put it in the masterbuilt 40" & how does it

work---can you put reg. wood chips in it--where can you get it or buy it

give me all the info. you can on this

That thing that your talking about is the Amasing Smoker thingie. Alot of folks here use them but I would keep my fifity bucks and use the chip tray. The Amasing smoker is mostly for cold smoking and to what I hear it works pretty good but it does have some bugs. I would recommend that you use the chips and get used to them first and then maybe down the road when you know alot more you can make up your own mind.

We put ours on the two rods to the left of the chip box...

I would recomend getting the 6X8 size...

Hot smoke with it all the time...load it once or load the chip tray 6 times, take your Pick. As with anything there is a learning curve to it but once you get it figured out YOU WILL BE AMAZED!!!

You bought a fine piece on machinery sir!!! Have had my MES40  about a year and LOVE IT!!!

Been using one for a long time and it has improved my smokes both hot and cold tremendously.  All you have to do is light it and forget it - just watch your temps and enjoy the results.

Ken as you can see the only person with negative thoughts is the person who doesn't own or use one...

With the MES it is one of the best accessories you can own other than a couple remote thermometers...

IMHO, Masterbuilt 40" is the biggest bang for your buck on the market today!

Try the chip loader for yourself, and see if you can make some TBS.  It takes a little work, but you'll figure it out.  Add a few chips every 20-30 minutes and you'll be making smoke in no time at all.

What you get for "fifty bucks", is an American Made smoke generator, that will make your smoking a lot easier, and you can easily produce TBS for hours.

Actually, the 6x6 is $32.99 and the 6x8 is 39.99 and you get a 1# bag of Hickory with it.

WOW!  This is news to me, and I own the company!!!

Lots of guys use it at higher temps with success, and of course, it's a great cold smoke generator.
