I am having problems with keeping my AMNPS going. I attempted to do a batch of cheese this weekend and could not keep my AMNPS going. Looking for any help with this. This is the first time I have problems with this. Using an MES 40. I have the top vent open fully. Microwaved the pellets for thirty seconds. Using cherry pellets at this time. It will only burn about 30 minutes then goes out. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dennis, Check the instructions. I believe Cherry pellets do not burn well on their own and need a layer of something else underneath. Oak, Maple or Apple work well...JJ

Yep, Cherry will not stay lit by itself.  Try mixing about if you want the Cherry flavor to shine through.  I have been laying a layer of Pecan and then topping it with Cherry, and it does well.

Good luck!

Just did a cold smoke with Cherry. I nuked them for 90 seconds spread out on a plate, brought them out and you could see the steam coming out. Repeated that cycle three times. The longer pellets would break in half with just a little pressure between the thumb and fore fingers. Got a nice five hours out of a single row. May be a bit shorter row burn time for you. I'm at about 6700 feet and am always finding that I need to adjust in one way or another for the altitude.
