I cook it well and everything but its just not my favorite cut of meet nor is it close to my favorite food on the smoker. Am I alone?
Around here, the only place I can find one is Costco. They cook a lot faster and are a lot juicier.so basically i am not alone. i have not tried tritip yet i haven't a clue where to get it, but will look for it and give it a shot.
If you have Wegman's near you, they just started carrying Tri tip. It's pretty pricey at $10.79/pound, but I thought it was worth it.so basically i am not alone. i have not tried tritip yet i haven't a clue where to get it, but will look for it and give it a shot.
Given the choice I'd go for just about anything but brisket. I don't hate it, but for the price I can get something much more tender, tasty and easy to cook. Now if it was consistently $.99 a pound, it would be a different story. But for the $6-$8 it almost always seems to be around here, it's just not worth it.
