Hey there croketpotmeathead. Welcome to SMF. Here is a beef marinade me and my girls just love.

1 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup worcesterashire sauce
2tbsp garlic powder
2tbsp onion powder
2tbsp ground black pepper
3 tsp hot sauce

I have never gone wrong with this one

To me a good steak should not need more than alittle salt and pepper. Sometimes I use cajun seasoning and garlic and then smoke it (sometime) or throw it on the regular grill (mostly) and grill till rare or medium rare. Then salt pepper and some vegis.
