I grew up old school Hawaii.  This meant family is way more important than posessions.  Because of this, we relied on the land and ocean to provide us at least 5 meals a week.  My dad, grandpa and uncles taught me how to cook and smoking food was my favorite.

Right now I'm building my first smoker so that I can make some of the foods that I know and love.  I'm sure I'll be posting a thread of my smoker in a little bit.  Looking forward to exploring the tips, tricks, and recipes found here.

Aloha, poiboy
