Has anyone tried using a small amount of allspice berries mixed with wood chips in an electric smoker? The idea is to try to duplicate a semi authentic Jamaican jerk.
 
No , had not thought of doing that , I would figure it wood produce a nice smell , but as for flavor , mmmm ,  questionable ? Maybe like onion in the Fire Box ...

Why not just do a Jerk Rub...
