Smoked wings to 165 and smoked butter/hotwing sauce

Seared up over the fire

..and a bath in the sauce

Decided to bypass the frying in peanut oil after the smoke (out of oil) and fry them over the fire after smoking...dipped in the smoked sauce and good to go!

Looks great. What kind of sauce did you use on the wings? Did you put a rub or anything on them before smoking? Just looking for new ideas and recipes.

I'm like you and are always looking for new ideas.   Most of the time i'll smoke the wings slower and then fry them up a few at time in peanut oil in a Wok....then dip them into my hot sauce.

What has been really good is smoking some sauce in w/ the wings or using smoked butter in the sauce.  I definitely like crisping the wings up in peanut oil vs over the fire but in a pinch it's good.  As far as the sauce goes i like Franks, or Burmans from Aldis and add the butter, honey and extra garlic.

Those are some mighty tasty looking wings, FWI!  Nicely done, friend!
