That’s a great deal. $6.00 here pretty steady

I'll have to check our store
Rotten timing as we're getting ready to migrate north next month.
I guess it can store in the freezer until this fall.

Wish they had big full bellies. No one does around here except Costco with their crappy skin-on bellies. UGH. Even Sam's are only half bellies and are often odd shapes. Gotta be careful, they like to fold them up in the package and make them look better, and they turn out to be thin and crappy. <sigh>

Don't know where you are, but US Foods Chef Store has whole bellies, skin on or off. The store I visit has the skin on for $3.29/lb. and skinless for $3.59/lb. everyday...

You should have been here today. Sunny and 75.. just perfect.. Friday is supposed to snow 3-4 inches though. I guess that is April in the North Country 😂

Unfortunately our local Aldis doesn't have the bellies on sale but they do have wings for $1.89/lb which around here is an excellent deal.

Going to look for Habanero plant as none of the ones I started from seed made it. Waiting for Aldi to open to go look like I really need more meat in the freezer!

US Foods Chef Store
Looks like the closest to me is OKC, which is 2 hours away. I also see one in Dallas, and I'm going to be down that way next weekend but...

From looking at things, I have to have a business/restaurant to be a member or get in? Not sure. I don't have a business, and I'm not sure if they verify anything if you try to register... Restaurant Depot is near me in Tulsa, but they don't usually have full bellies that I have seen. Partial ones, most times, but it's worth looking at next time I'm down there. I did pick up a package of pork collars from them last time, they're in the freezer at the moment, to make coppa bacon out of.

going to have to check it out, never noticed belly's at my Aldi.

Never seen them in my local Aldis and you're in the same region. The wings for a $1.89/lb is a local sale though.

No, it is open to the public. Only thing you'll find is everything is sold in large quantities such as vegetables in gallon cans, flour in 25lb. bags, etc. Quantities restaurants would use...

Cool! I can use restaurant amounts of pork belly! :emoji_heart_eyes:

Aldi's does not sell whole bellies... I've baught them before at that price... MEH .... That's the going price here too... $2.99 ...

How do you boys cook these pork belly’s? Like brisket?
Well burnt ends are posted frequently.
I like them thinner sliced and fried. Make a white gravy to serve with boiled potatoes.
Braise thick chunks to render down some fat then on the grill to crisp up

They arent whole bellies. Pretty small pieces, maybe a quarter and thin. I sorted through the stack to find one decent one for pbbe today. I was at Costco and they have whole skinless bellies at my store for $10 off which brings price down to abt $3.50 / lb.depending on weight. They had some really nice ones but also a bunch of thin ones. One somehow ended up in the cart.

I stopped at my local store yesterday and they were already sold out
