Need a little advice if possible.

Has anyone added a spray/mister system into their smoker that would be willing to share their plans?  I would like to see your design and material used.

I think I know what I want to do, but would like to see if anyone has already done so.

Thanks,

Randy

I have actually toyed around with that idea when building frank.

But felt it wasn't worth he trouble, plus I like peeking every now and then for me and for the camera.

Stainless steel tubing, mini submersible pump triggered by a push button switch, one of those switches that need to be held down to activate.

The hard part is figuring out how to disperse the spray effectively.

well have you thought about something like those rope area sprayers . or porch coolers. they are like ropes with sprayers on them.

you could cut holes or a hole in a specific location and put the hose end on a bottle sprayer somehow.

just a thought. but im with prev statement. i like to peek at the meal to come.

That would be taking away some of the fun of smoking, I don't want a fully automatic smoker.  Plus I usually shake a little turbinado or brown sugar on after spritzing, especially on the butts to get that gosh almighty bark!  Ummm.

How many of ya'll actually use water in the smoker?

I think it changes the flavor to more like liquid smoke instead of that clean sweet smoke flovor.
No water for me! I like the dry smoke chamber, locks in the juices and produces incredible bark! Just wish I could get rid of this humidity we have here!
