I have a prayer request for my 9 year old nephew Hayden. He lives in Emporia, Kansas and has been in the hospital for the past week with some sort of severe stomach problems. He was to be transported to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City today, but they didn't have a bed open for him. So he is still in Emporia until further notice.

He isn't able to keep any food down and has dry heaves throughout the day. He experiences severe bouts of dizziness and when he walks, he screams in excruciating pain. The pain is apparently coming from his legs and mid-section.

If you would pray for healing for Hayden, strength for my brother and his wife, and wisdom for the medical staff who are treating him, I certainly would appreciate it.

Thanks guys, to say that I am worried about him would be an understatement. I am trying to keep a positive outlook, but he continues to worsen each day. The human body can only endure so much. But I know the power of prayer and have witnessed amazing things through the living sacrifices of the faithful. I hope that this won't be any exception.

Hi, AJ. I don't post here but occasionally get a charge out of reading the posts. (Hey.. you can't actively participate on all the forums!)

But I read your heartfelt post and just wanted you to know that not only the regulars here will pray for your family. With today being Ash Wednesday, it seemed fitting to reply and let you know that quite probably few will reply but many will keep you and yours in our prayers.

Certainly me being one of those. I hope that the powers that be will grant all of you relief from his illness.

Sorry to hear about your nephew. Rest assured I will pray for him and all his family in this time off need. I will also tell my wife and she will say a prayer too. Our son had a pretty tough health issue a few years ago and friends and family did the same for us and it is such a blessing!May God be with you and your entire family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A transport team from Children's Mercy is on the way. My sister-in-law has a sister who is a Pediatric Physicians Assistant who just flew in from Colorado. That is very comforting to me as my sister-in-law is also a nurse on a birth floor. So he is surrounded with medical wizards and a mom and an aunt who won't let anything slide when it comes to his care.
I'll keep you updated.
